Hotel & Hostel Jobs for Backpackers in New Zealand
Cleaners for hostels, hotels and B&Bs are in demand most of the times. It's a job that doesn't require much training, and as long as you can understand basic English you should be fine in this kind of job. The advantage is that you don't have very early starts as the cleaning usually only begins once the guests have checked out (between 10 and 11 am in most places) and will have to be finished before the next guests check in (between 2 and 4 pm, depending on the size and check-in times of the hostel or hotel). For people who would like to commit for a longer time, there might also be jobs as a receptionist, however, you will need very good English skills to be considered for such a job.
