While Bluff is NZ's southernmost town, Invercargill is NZ's southernmost city, and offers better job opportunities than Bluff. Invercargill has a rather Scottish feel to it because of its history. While the city itself does not have that much sightseeing for you, the area around Invercargill is just fantastic. If you leave the city without a camera in your pocket, you'll regret it because there are plenty of spectacular photos to be taken. Invercargill has more jobs that Bluff, however, you will also not have such an easy time finding a job just for a couple of weeks. Factories, retailers and hospitality providers usually prefer it if you can spend a couple of months or more with them.
