Bar Jobs for Backpackers in New Zealand
Bar jobs in New Zealand can mainly be found in the bigger cities and towns, especially Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Tauranga. However, cities like New Plymouth, Hamilton and Queenstown will usually also have some sort-term bar jobs available. Bars usually prefer it when their short term helpers already have bar-tending experience as it does not make much sense for them to train someone up who only wants to stay a month or two. The advantage of working behind a bar is that you will often work late afternoons, evenings and the night shift. So you will have the rest of the day to explore the area and do some sight-seeing.
