Au Pair / Home help and Nanny jobs for Backpackers in New Zealand

If you have any childcare experience, no criminal record and at least basic English skills, then you might be interested in working as an au pair. You don't get a huge pay check, but you won't have to pay for rent, food and other bills (often free internet is included). You will have to be good with children and willing to help with the jobs around the house, some families might also ask you to cook every now and then. As an au pair, you will be able to get to know the real kiwi way of life (unless you end up with an immigrant family), and families will usually include au pairs in their excursions, so you might get to see places normal tourists usually would not see.
