Full-time, Fixed Term Permanent Position
Located on the Beautiful West Coast
Location: Haast, South Westland
Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week. Rotating roster, including weekends.
Employment Type: Permanent, Fixed Term Position
Pay Rate: $25 - $30 / hour
Reporting to the General Manager, the Bar Manager role is vital in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our property. This role requires a a can-do attitude, great people skills and the ability to work within a diverse team.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
The Bar Manager role will involve:
Taking a hands-on approach to ensuring that all aspects of the Cafe and Bar.
Providing leadership to team members, and helping to improve systems and processes.
Assisting with the effective operation and cost control of the food & beverage operation.
Taking oversight of Cafe and Bar shifts
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
A minimum of 3 years experience in a hospitality environment is required (5 years preferred), with 1 - 2 years experience at the Supervisor or Manager level.
An LCQ qualification and a current Managers Certificate are required for this role, and preference will be given to candidates who have a strong background in food & beverage.
You will be a genuine leader that can inspire the team with a can-do attitude and lead from the front. Your strong communication skills and interpersonal skills will allow you to run a smooth food & beverage operation and drive a positive team environment.
