Located in the CBD, Distinction Christchurch Hotel offers 182 elegant, air-conditioned hotel rooms, conference facilities and the stylish Gumption Bar & Restaurant.
Distinction Christchurch Hotel has an opportunity for a customer service driven team player to join the Front Office team in the role of Front Office Porter. You will need to be available 7 days a week with the 3 shifts spanning 24 hrs of the day. The position will include:

• Meeting and greeting of guests – Be able to confidently assist and verbally inform guests of the location of city attractions, facilities of the hotel and services that we offer.
• Parking of guest vehicles
• Delivering and collecting guest luggage
• Cleaning duties
• Security Checks of the property

The right candidate will have a strong work ethic and be ready to jump into any situation. We help out wherever and whenever and that includes for our guests but also for our team. You will need to be physically fit and hold a Driving Licence (Manual & Auto). You are the face of the hotel. The first and last point of contact for our guests. You need to work independently at times and must be self-motivated, trustworthy and reliable, reporting to the Duty Manager.
