Calf Rearer at Far north pastures Ltd (Kerikeri, Northland)

Job Description

We are looking for some to help us finish up calving and feed calf’s for the next 8 or so weeks, we have finished with calves been born so these calves are 2-6 weeks old and in mobs of 80 out side on a calfeteria, currently feeding 300 calf’s.
Looking for someone to be able to turn up and help 4-6 days per week, some experience with farm animals is required and will be taught how to drive a small tractor.
This is a drive in position as we don’t have any accommodation available, however we are more than happy to share our home for washing and showering as it can be a messy job.

Description:
We are a husband and wife team who have 3 dairy farms in the sunny bay of islands milking 1700 cows, we employ 10 full time staff and are looking for extra help around busy times of rearing 300 calf’s starting 7am, and milk harvesting when people going away on annual leave usually 5am-8 am, and 2 pm- 5pm.
