Customer Services/cafe Assistant On Animal Park

HANMER SPRINGS - NORTH CANTERBURY – BUSY OUTDOOR ADVENTURE TOURIST TOWN

A competent self-starter is required for this full-time position at a busy Animal Park - You will be managing ticketing and customers, taking payments, making and servicing basic food and coffee and looking after the small cafe. You will be mainly working on your own, so you will need to be organised, able to plan ahead, with great inter-personal and customer service skills.

This is a job for ONE person.

You will need previous experience in a customer service role, cash handling and EFTPOS transactions, and you will need basic food preparation skills. You will need to be down-to-earth, practical and happy to get stuck in. You will also need to be able to multi-task.

Start MID-SEPTEMBER. You will be working around 32-35 hours a week, including weekends. The job requires someone who can commit until the end of March 2026.

This is not a job which involves care of the animals, but an affinity with animals would help.

It requires a commitment for a minimum of SIX months. Longer would be great.

Hanmer Springs is an awesome outdoor adventure and thermal pools/spa tourist town. It is 130kms north of the city of Christchurch. It is stunningly beautiful and looks towards the mountains.
