If you would like to find a short-term IT job, then you should brace yourself for disappointment. It is not very easy to find jobs like this in New Zealand, especially if you don't want to commit to it for a longer time, i.e. take it up as a proper job, not just a temporary job. Auckland and Wellington are the best places for IT jobs, but you will have serious competition, i.e. qualified IT people who look for a real job to pay for their mortgages (or rent) and live their life in New Zealand. If you are not in it for the long run, then you would be better of looking for something different.
