Join the small professional team at The Beach House, Kawau Island’s Boutique Hotel, Restaurant and Bar.
We are looking for 2 x Hospitality All-Rounders; One with qualifications to work in a kitchen, with fine dining level of training highly desirable and the other with restaurantbar experience preferable.
The Beach House has nine accommodation rooms and you will be one of a team of 5. The shifts will be varied with a mix of duties such as food preparation & service, housekeeping, FOH food and drink service and grounds maintenance. Would suit self-motivated, athletic and fit person/s with sound work ethics as this job can be physically demanding.
Remuneration is free rent in an en-suite room onsite and no expenses to pay. We will provide you with two meals per day and pay $16.50 for the agreed hours you work weekly. We are set in an idyllic tropical island beach front resort located on the edge of the waters of Vivian Bay on Kawau Island, a 25min ferry ride from Sandspit, 50 mins north of Auckland city. Your downtime is yours to truly appreciate this spectacular slice of NZ and enjoy the nature that surround you. With its island location, no roads or shops this is an excellent opportunity to save money.
The position is on a casual basis over the busy Summer season from early-November 2018 through to March 2019. To be considered for the role you must be committed to work the duration of the contract including statutory holidays. Hours of work will fluctuate in line with the business’s needs; when it’s busy, you must be prepared to work long hours. You will be supported in all aspects of the job by hands-on managers. We are a small tight team that strives for excellence and offers VIP treatment to all our guests.
