Houskeeping Supervisor (2ic) - Fixed Term (6 Months Maternity Cover)

Delaware North New Zealand is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Pinewood Lodge.

Location: Pinewood Lodge, Queenstown
Employment Type: Fixed Term (6 Months Maternity Cover)
Hours: 30 Hours per Week
Roster: Rotating roster Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays as required

The housekeeping Supervisor will be actively involved in running the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department across the property. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising the housekeeping teams by leading from the front in the delivery of housekeeping duties to maintain a consistent standard of cleanliness across all guest accommodation, public areas and other property facilities that meet or exceed guest expectations.

Main Duties (Not Limited to):
• Supervise and foster a collaborative environment within the housekeeping team
• Ensure the consistency, quality, and integrity of housekeeping work
• Train, motivate, and provide feedback to team members
• Support the Housekeeping Manager in their absence and day-to-day operations – Conduct Daily Briefings, Rostering, allocation of tasks for team members.
• Manage inventory and budget for supplies and resources
• Monitor stock levels, along with assisting in delivery, distribution, rotation of stock.
• Conduct stock takes and stock movement reporting
• Identification of problems or issues that are required to be escalated to the Management team
• Maintain a safe work environment by assisting with implementation of OH&S policies and procedures

Experience Desired:
• Minimum 2 Years’ relevant housekeeping experience within a luxury resort/hotel environment

• Experience in inventory management

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Tourism, or Hospitality Management preferred but not mandatory.
