Live In Au Pair

Hi there!

We are a family of five looking for a live-in au pair/nanny to join us from approximately 15 November to 20 December while our current nanny is away on holiday.

We live on a dairy farm near the beautiful Blue Spring in Putāruru, around 45 minutes to an hour from Rotorua, Hamilton, Tauranga and Taupō.

We have three children aged 8, 6 and 2. The older two attend school and our youngest attends childcare during the week. I work part time and will be around quite a bit during this period, but we are looking for an extra pair of hands to help with the children and keep the household running smoothly.

A typical week would look something like:

Monday
7am to 9am: Help get the children ready for the day and do the school and childcare drop offs.
9am to 12pm: Help with cleaning, laundry and preparing dinner.
After 12pm, you would have the rest of the day off.

Tuesday
2:30pm to around 6/7pm: School and childcare pick ups, spending time with the children and helping with dinner and the evening routine. I will generally be around during this time. After dinner, we would ask you to help clean up the kitchen while we get the children ready for bed. If the children are comfortable with you helping with bedtime too, that would be great.

Wednesday
2:30pm to around 6/7pm: Similar to Tuesday, including school and childcare pick ups, spending time with the children, dinner and helping with the evening routine.

Thursday
7am to 9am: Help get the children ready for the day and do the school and childcare drop offs.
9am to 11am: Help with cleaning, laundry and other household jobs.
2:30pm to around 6/7pm: School and childcare pick ups, spending time with the children, dinner and helping with the evening routine.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday are your days off, giving you a great opportunity to get out, explore New Zealand and enjoy your own time and space.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, confident with children and happy to take initiative. Our kids love being outdoors, so someone who enjoys nature, activities and getting out and about would be a great fit.

You would be part of our family and have your own room in our home. We provide food, accommodation, weekly pocket money and use of a vehicle.

We also have a beach house which may be available for you to use from time to time as a getaway, depending on availability.

You must speak English and hold a valid New Zealand Working Holiday Visa and a full driver’s licence.
