Farmer / Stud Helper

PART-TIME FARM & STABLE POSITION
Approx. 3 Hours Per Day | Private Accommodation Included
We are looking for a reliable, practical and animal-loving person to join us on our private horse property in exchange for free accommodation in their own two-cabin living space on the farm.
This position could suit someone who already works elsewhere during the day but would enjoy living in a peaceful rural environment and being part of the day-to-day life of a horse property.

The Role
The position is approximately 3 hours per day, with the main commitment being assistance in the stables each morning.
Morning stable hours: approximately 6:00am – 7:30am
Morning duties will generally include:
Cleaning and mucking out stables, Refreshing bedding, Filling water and feed where required, Keeping stable areas, yards and surrounds clean and tidy, General assistance with the morning horse routine

Horse handling experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone who is confident around animals, sensible, willing to learn and genuinely enjoys being around horses.

The remaining hours do not necessarily need to be completed every day. They can be accumulated and used for general farm and garden work, depending on what needs doing and by mutual arrangement.

This may include:
Gardening and weeding
General property maintenance
Tidying paddocks and farm areas
Cleaning and organising sheds or stable areas
Helping with seasonal jobs around the property
Other light general farm duties

This arrangement allows plenty of flexibility for the successful person to work elsewhere during the day.

Accommodation Provided
In exchange for the agreed hours, you will have your own private two-cabin accommodation on the farm.
The accommodation includes: Kitchen and lounge area, Separate bedroom, Additional room suitable as an office, dressing room or storage, toilet, Outdoor shower
Your own private living space in a lovely rural setting

You do not need to be an experienced horse person, although previous horse or farm experience would certainly be welcomed.

This could be a wonderful opportunity for someone wanting to reduce their living expenses while still maintaining their own daytime employment, particularly someone who enjoys animals, country life and being outdoors.
