Market Stall Assistant

Position Overview
Monavale Blueberries is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team on a fixed-term contract from the 30 October 26 to 28 March 2027. In this role, you will be the face of our brand at local farmers markets, helping us showcase and sell our premium harvest and artisan products directly to the community.
Workdays:
Friday – 2 hours
Saturday: 0630am- 1.30pm
Sundays: 615am- 230pm

Key Responsibilities
• Stock Preparation & Logistics: Prepare, organize, load stock, equipment, and market collateral securely into the vehicle.
• Coordinate stock orders and collect items from Café Irresistible as required.
• Drive to the designated market location safely and efficiently.
• Stall Setup & Maintenance: Set up the market stall completely and professionally prior to market opening hours.
• Maintain a visually appealing, clean, organized, and fully stocked stall throughout the entire market day.
• Pack down and reload the vehicle securely at the conclusion of the market.
• Customer Service & Sales: Engage warmly and enthusiastically with customers, sharing product knowledge about our blueberries and associated items.
• Process transactions accurately using EFTPOS equipment.
• Handle cash transactions securely and calculate totals quickly and correctly

Requirements & Skills
Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Valid driver's license and comfortable driving to and from market locations.
• Strong basic math skills with a high level of accuracy in cash handling and giving change.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a natural passion for customer service and interacting with the public.
• Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of lifting and moving boxes/market equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
