Located midway between the West Coast glacier towns and Queenstown, Wilderness Lodge Lake Moeraki sits on the shores of the Moeraki River, surrounded by ancient rainforests of Te Wāhipounamu World Heritage Area. Few places on earth can match the lodge’s stunning natural setting. Walk wild seacoast home to seals and rare penguins, kayak pristine lakes, and explore this unique landscape alongside expert naturalist guides. We are currently seeking passionate Lodge Assistants for the upcoming season. If you enjoy working hands-on across multiple departments and you’re passionate about creating memorable experiences for others, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make your mark.
This is a full-time fixed-term position, starting in early/mid-October 2026 through to mid April 2027. Three staff meals per day and newly refurbished on-site accommodation are provided at a low cost. Laundry facilities and fast Wi-Fi are also available. Staff will have 1–2 days off per week to explore the incredible West Coast.

The successful applicants will have a true passion for delighting guests and offering a memorable experience tailored to the needs of each guest. They will also have strong interpersonal skills and must work well in a team environment.
To be successful you will require:
• Prior experience in Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and/or Reception an advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent administrative skills
• Previous experience in customer service
• Ability to think on your feet and work by yourself
• NZ resident or applicable Visa
• NZ licence or International licence held for a minimum of two years that can be converted to NZ an advantage
