Agronomist / Crop Manager

Job Description
Fieldco is seeking a Agronomist/Crop Manager to join our team on a fixed term contract basis, with potential to extend. Based in the picturesque location of Dargaville, 10 minutes from the beach and with operations across Northland, this role will play a crucial part in ensuring the success and sustainability of our crop farming operations.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide expert agronomic advice and support to Field teams
- Monitor crop health and soil conditions, recommending optimal farming practices
- Help develop and implement strategies to maximise crop yields and quality
- Maintain NZGAP and EMS records and deal with regulatory bodies as needed
- Keep detailed records and provide comprehensive reporting
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
What we're looking for
-Tertiary qualification in Agronomy, Horticulture or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Agronomist or Crop Manager
- Proven track record of improving farm productivity and profitability
- Strong technical knowledge of crop management, soil science and pest/disease control
- Good communication skills between both staff and management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficient in analysing previous crop records and report writing
