Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic



T A Contracting Ltd is a Silage and Slurry Contracting business based in the Ashburton area. We are after a motivated and enthusiastic Serviceman/Mechanic to join our small team that takes pride in their work. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing of the machinery fleet including tractors, utes and implements.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

Servicing of all TAC equipment

Basic fault and diagnostic finding

Inspecting and record keeping


The successful applicant must be a motivated self-starter, physically capable with a positive attitude and be able to work unsupervised. Must be able to work in a team as well as independently. You will have the ability to work to deadlines and be able to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally. Proven practical knowledge and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mechanical/vehicle servicing role is a must.
A full driver’s licence is required. Hours generally 8am – 5pm, but due to contracting the applicant must be available for some weekend work and the occasional after hours call out. For the successful applicant we offer an excellent remuneration, recognising experience and skills along with a company vehicle and mobile phone.
