Seasonal Calf Rearers – Canterbury & Otago (Multiple Roles Available)

We are currently recruiting for Calf Rearers across three fantastic dairy farms in the Canterbury and Otago regions. Whether you want a great work-life balance, maximum earning potential, or a role with accommodation included, we have the perfect match for you!

📍Ealing, Canterbury
Start: July 2026 – at least 3 months
Herd Size and Shed: 550 to 650 cows through 50 Bail Rotary and 40 AS Herringbone shed
Roster: 5 days on 2 days off
Pay: 25 - 28 per hour depending on experience
Avg. Hours: 40 hours p/week
Accommodation: 1 bedroom self-contained unit


📍Geraldine, Canterbury
Start: July 2026 – approx. 6-8 weeks
Herd Size and Shed: 1,800-cows through 80 Bail Rotary
Roster: 6 days on 1 day off
Pay: 24 - 32 per hour depending on experience
Hours: 36-54 hours p/week
Accommodation: no accommodation, this is a drive-in position


📍Oamaru, Otago
Start: August 2026 – 3 months
Herd Size and Shed: 540 cows through 34 Bail Rotary shed o Roster: 6 days on 1 days off
Pay: up to 27 per hour
Avg. Hours: 45 hours p/week
Accommodation: single unit accommodation


What We Are Looking For
- A positive, "can-do" attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Physical fitness and a love for working outdoors (rain or shine!)
- Reliability, punctuality, and an eye for animal welfare.
- For WHV Holders: A valid New Zealand Working Holiday Visa and IRD number.
- Prior farming or animal handling experience is a bonus, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued!
