Calf Rearer Based In Otago

We have a well-paid 3-month contract starting in late July or early August for a Calf Rearer based in the Oamaru area. Would be great if you have previous calf rearing experience! This role is on a 650 &550-cow farm.


Responsibilities include:
• Calf rearing, including feeding and caring for calves
• Identifying and alerting managers to sick cows
• Performing other general farm duties

Ideal candidates will have:
• Previous dairy farming experience (preferred)
• A good attitude, initiative, and a strong work ethic (mandatory)
• Some experience in dairy farming, large animal care, or agriculture/viticulture/horticulture
• Motorbike and quad driving skills (mandatory for some jobs, not all)
• Good English communication skills
• A valid driver’s license (international licenses accepted) and your own vehicle
• The ability to work outside under various conditions

Package includes:
• Wage is between 25.00 - 28.00 per hour + 8% holiday pay
• Minimum of 30 hours and an average of 40 hours per week
