ABOUT GAVINS
At GAVINS, we've been walking alongside Kiwi farmers and growers for generations. What started as a small-scale maize operation in the 1950s has grown into a diverse, innovative agri-business known across the greater Waikato for doing things the right way — with the land, animals, and people in mind.

Our dairy goat farm is no exception. With purpose-built milking systems, modern housing and kidding facilities, and a strong focus on animal welfare, we're raising the bar for what great farming looks like.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Feeding kid goats
* Monitor health and behaviour
* Keep pens, equipment, and facilities clean and hygienic
* Help with routine health procedures
* Keep simple records of feed, health, and treatments
* Follow biosecurity protocols (straightforward, fully trained)
* Milking team support when required

ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT?
* You care about animals and take their welfare seriously
* You're physically fit and happy to be on your feet for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
* You're reliable, on time, and follow through on tasks
* You communicate well and work comfortably in a team
* Previous livestock experience is a bonus — but not required
* Valid NZ work visa until at least 31 October 2026Ability to learn and follow specific animal health protocols and treatment plans
* Basic record-keeping skills for tracking feed, health, and treatments.
