Maungatautari, Waikato - Experienced Calf Rearer

We are looking for an experienced calf rearer to join our team for the upcoming calving season, starting 5th July 2026 or soon after.

We are 100% spring calving farm, calving down approximately 400 cows.

Prior experience in calf rearing is essential, you will often be working alone and without supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Training calves to drink and eat meal.
Monitoring calf health, identifying and treating sick calves
Cleaning feeding equipment, spraying and sanitizing calf pens
Operating quad bike with calfateria.

We want to achieve a high standard in terms of calf health and wellbeing, and need your help to do so!

This position could either be a drive in position or alternatively there is accommodation available in the form of a 1 bedroom cottage.

There is the possibility of other farm work later in the season if you are interested: the role could be extended into December.
