The Role

We are expanding our team in Queenstown and are looking for an experienced Landscape Gardener to join us on a casual or fixed-term basis through to the start of winter, with the potential for ongoing or full-time work for the right candidate.

We spend our time working in the great outdoors, with tasks ranging from regular lawn and garden maintenance through to residential and commercial landscaping projects. This role also includes weed spraying and fertilisation as part of routine property maintenance, so applicants must be comfortable working with sprays and following safety procedures.

About You – Qualifications & Experience

- Gardening and property maintenance experience is required
- A great work attitude and ability to work well in a team
- Attention to detail and ability to show initiative
- Strong communication skills and a friendly personality
- Fit and healthy and ready for physical work
- Full NZ driver’s licence required

Duties

- Manage and maintain clients’ properties and landscapes
- Perform landscaping and gardening services including lawn mowing, gardening, trimming, pruning, weed spraying and fertilisation
- Install soft and hard landscaping including planting, gardens, fencing and landscaping materials
- Assist with training and supporting new staff where required
- Operate company vehicles and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance checks and basic equipment care
- Accurately quote jobs and identify opportunities for upsells
- Communicate with customers in a polite and professional manner
- Liaise with staff to coordinate jobs and workflow
- Follow health and safety procedures and contribute to improvements
- Perform other duties as requested by the Operations Manager
