Au Pair/farm Hand

South Island New Zealand, start March 2026

**Start date is flexible for the right person. **

We are an experienced host family with one child who will be 3 years old in March.

Job summary:
*** Location: 15 mins from Timaru, South Island, New Zealand (2.5hrs from Dunedin and 2.5hrs from Christchurch)
*** Starting approx March 2026 when our current Au Pair returns Europe. However, we are willing to wait for the right person if our dates do not align with yours.
*** Long term position rather than a short term preferred
*** A bedroom in a self contained farm cottage 3 mins walk from the main house (accommodation in the main house is unavailable)
*** Car available for work use only
*** Mobile phone number with the role (included in role)
*** Weekly wages

The work:
*Monday to Friday
*Swimming lessons once per week
*Kindy drop offs
*paid farm work when child is not at home

The person we are looking for will require:
*** Experience (with references) with infant childcare
*** Be able to demonstrate an understanding of First Aid for children
*** The successful applicant maybe subject to pre-employment checks including a police check
*** An interest in family farming life, horse riding and living rurally is essential.
