Shift Manager Including Recruitment
Full-time | Auckland CBD | Rotating shifts (including evenings)
We’re a vibrant, fast-paced salon located in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, and we’re looking for a confident, organised Recruiter & Shift Manager to be the face of our salon and the engine behind our hiring and daily operations.
This role is more than reception or admin you’ll be a trusted partner to leadership, a people connector, and the first impression of our brand for both clients and candidates.

You’ll balance three key areas:
• Front-of-house reception & client experience
• Recruitment & candidate care
• Shift & day-to-day salon operations

Key Responsibilities
Shift Management
• Greet and assist clients with a warm, professional, welcoming attitude
• Manage phone, email, and walk-in enquiries
• Schedule and reschedule appointments with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organised, and polished reception and salon space
• Complete daily admin and reception duties
• Manage liquor service in compliance with our liquor licence
Recruitment & Hiring Support
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs
• Draft, update, and post compelling job ads
• Manage job listings across different platforms
• Review applications, and shortlist candidates
• Schedule and coordinate interviews
• Maintain accurate candidate records

Who You Are
You’re not just organised you take ownership, stay proactive, and enjoy making things run smoothly.
You bring:
• Experience in reception, recruitment coordination, talent acquisition, or shift management
(salon or hospitality experience is a bonus)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
• A go-getter, someone who doesn’t wait for tasks to be given
• The ability to juggle priorities without dropping the ball
• A friendly, polished, professional presence

Requirements
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organised
• Comfortable working rotating shifts, including evenings
• Willingness to obtain (or already hold) an LCQ or Duty Manager’s Certificate
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
