Housekeeper

Do you have an interested in agri- tourism and would love living on a high country station in a supportive and fun environment.

We have a cleaning role available at Simons Hill Station from mid January 2026 for a 3 month period. (this may be extended when we discuss what time frames you can do)



The cleaning roles involves supporting with the housekeeping of the two huts we have. They are luxury huts that customers pay a high amount for therefore the cleaning must be to the highest standard. Both huts have a hot tub also which needs to be checked daily and the chemicals added (we will show you how to do this if unsure)

We are very busy at the moment with the turnover of the huts being everyday

You will also need to support with the laundry for both of the huts as it is all done in house

We are operating currently using booking com and Airbnb but are currently in the process of creating and launching a website for direct bookings. I would need your support with operating these also, which included responding to customer messages, changing prices and updating my physical calendar.


It would also be great if you have some extra time, if you can just help me with ensuring the house is tidy and also taking my daughter to her extra circular lessons if needed (this will support with extra hours)- as we can get very busy here!



We are located exactly half way between Tekapo and Twizel therefore having your own transport would be very helpful. Both towns are around 29km away

Requirements

-You will need a full driving licence and be confident driving on the left hand side of the road

-Requires someone will a lot of drive

-Have the ability to be self directed

-Organised

-Capable of managing different tasks

-Have good time management

-Working Holiday Visa

-New Zealand bank account

-IRD number



Important Details

-This role will be paid at the NZ minimum wage

-20-30 hours a week (depending on how busy we are)

-Accomodation included in exchange for small rent payment

-Accomodation is in our staff quarters, living with our shepherdess. Shared kitchen and living space. Your room will be private and includes a ensuite bathroom. There is also a kitchenette if you wish to cook in your room

The lady currently in this role will be leaving from end of jan, if we can arrange you to be here before they leave this would allow them to show you the ropes and teach you booking.com/airbnb
