Joinery Spray Booth Finishing Painter

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spray Booth Finishing Painter to join our joinery production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, spraying, and finishing a variety of timber-based joinery products to a high standard using modern spray equipment and finishing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare wood and MDF surfaces (sanding, filling, masking) prior to finishing.

Mix and apply a variety of paints, lacquers, stains, sealers, primers, and topcoats using spray guns in a controlled spray booth environment.

Maintain a consistent and high-quality finish that meets both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Work with water-based and solvent-based finishes as required.

Interpret finishing specifications and colour samples accurately.

Monitor drying and curing times, ensuring products are handled appropriately.

Maintain spray booth cleanliness and ensure all equipment is cleaned and serviced regularly.

Ensure proper storage and labeling of finishing materials and chemicals.

Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe handling of hazardous materials and the use of appropriate PPE.

Collaborate with joiners, production teams, and supervisors to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Assist in quality control checks before and after the finishing process.

Adhering to NZ H&S requirements.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as a spray painter or finishing technician in a joinery or woodworking environment.
