Marquee + Event Hand

The Little Hire Company are a leading event hire company based in Christchurch.
From marquees, furniture to small hire items – we work in celebrations, events, festivals and weddings and are looking for more casual team members to support our core team, for the upcoming busy season.

This is a casual position, with work on a “as required” basis.
Suitable for with someone with other employment, studying or backpacking who is wanting additional hours. Our busiest months are November – March, and there is ongoing work available outside of this for those staying on.

Tasks are various -
• Picking orders and loading trucks
• Deliveries and collections
• Installation and packdown of marquees
• Set-up and pack-down of decor, lighting and furniture for events and weddings

Hours of work -
• Various - through the weekday, some weeknights and weekends.
• Shifts are based on availability via our app - you apply for the ones that suit, and we assign from there. Right now, we’re especially looking for weekday availability, as that’s when the magic (and most of the work) happens.

Pay -
• Casual contract (e.g “as required” basis)
• 25 + 8% (holiday pay-as-you-go)
• Bonus for late night work
• Paid fortnightly

If you fit the following, we would love to hear from you -
• You must be physically fit as this role can be physically demanding
• Great communicator and problem-solving skills
• Great work ethic and punctual
• Full, clean drivers license and can confidently drive a manual
• Have driven small trucks, or at least comfortable to learn to drive our manual and auto small trucks (Class 1).
