Housekeeper X 1 - Haast For February & March 2026

Motel Housekeeper - only 1 position available. Fixed short term contract available immediately through to Easter 2026.

Job description: Prefer experienced in motel cleaning.
Position involves motel cleaning in small, independently run motels. Approx. 30+ hours per week over 6 day roster - hours usually 9am-2pm. Small, friendly team environment (working with husband and wife owner/operators).

Hourly rate (29 p/h)

Self-contained, private staff cottage available onsite. (Subsidised rent plus power).

Located in Haast - approx. half way between Wanaka/Queenstown and and the Glacier region.
Haast is the perfect spot if you are into bush hikes, remote beaches, you need time out or want to save some money. Car not essential but handy if you wish to explore the area.
Please be aware that Haast is a beautiful but remote town with a population of 240 people - not for those seeking the bright lights!

Job requirements -
Friendly and hard-working.
Able to function within a small team.
Able to work independently without constant supervision.
Good attention to detail and be fussy with cleaning.
Honest, reliable and be able to cope with feedback.

Please no drifters, dreamers or those having a life crisis. Its a busy time of year and you need to be able to commit to the job.
Good English language, written and numeracy skills.

Applicant must be legally able to work in NZ (work visa / NZ citizen, tax number, NZ bank account). We are unable to offer employment to those without work visas and you will need to be currently in NZ.
