Summer Operations - Sky Waka Gondola, Whakapapa, Mt Ruapehu

We are seeking applications for summer roles as we head into our summer operations (roles start from late November). In particular, we are hoping to hear from people who have an interest in the local region, bring food and beverage experience, or a willingness to learn and get involved in all aspects of our tourism operation. Positions available include:

• Guest services and retail
• Baristas and frontline F&B
• Cooks
• Qualified Chefs
• Safety Services
• Lift attendants / Sky Waka operators

Positions may be full time, part time or casual depending on the operations of both the Sky Waka Gondola and the Knoll Ridge Chalet (your workplace at 2020m above sea level!). We have accommodation available in Whakapapa Village from just $99 per week.

Available positions will start late November, with the 28th being the ideal start date for most roles.

We are guided by the principle of upholding the mana of the maunga through Manaakitanga (for people), Kaitiakitanga (for place) and Kotahitanga (together as one) so being able to work alongside others productively, create meaningful connections with everyone, and support our role as kaitiaki is essential for success. We expect our summer team to be able to assist across the operation wherever is needed so flexibility and adaptability is key. Your positive attitude will be what makes you successful in this role.
