Lavender Garden Helper

Lavendyl is Kaikoura's lavender farm and is located on the foothills of Mt Fyffe 7kms outside Kaikoura township.

We have around 6.5 acres of developed land but the area open to the public currently is only around 4 acres. The developed area consists of a shop, 2 B&B cottages and the lavender gardens. We aim to garden organically but sometimes have to use products on our driveway and other hard areas. We are currently looking for alternatives to this.

We have 3/4 sheep, 4 lambs born since 21st October, Buster the dog and a few chickens.

We need help in all areas of the business so there is plenty of variety, including property maintenance. You'll stay in the main house or sleep-out and all meals are provided in return for 5 hours, 6 days a week. You need to be able to work independently or with others depending on the task.

We are (still!) working on some eco fencing projects which need to be continued.

Our livelihood is generated by the customers who visit. Our opening times dictate the timing of life e.g. meal times, so you need to be willing to fit into our timetable.
