Company Background

Motutere Bay TOP 10 Holiday Park is owned and managed by a small family business, Next Generation Holiday Parks. The successful applicants will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations and management of the park and staff, with on-going support.

Position #1 - Holiday Park Management Couple

This position is a full-time live-in role for 2 people. The salary is $58,315 per person for an average of 50 hours per week (includes weekends, public and school holidays). The successful applicants will be provided with on-site accommodation at the holiday park, for substantially subsidised rent.

Responsibilities & Duties

> Management of assistant management couple and other staff
> Management of capital works projects
> Rostering/Timesheets
> Identifying ways to reduce costs across the park
> Day-to-day operations of holiday park
> Making reservations and communicating with guests
> Cleaning and maintenance of park buildings such as cabins and amenities
> Cleaning and maintenance of park equipment such as bbqs and playgrounds
> Landscaping duties, i.e. lawn mowing, weed-eating/spraying and maintaining of gardens
> Liaising with suppliers/contractors
> Management of waste and recycling
> General handyman work, incl. basic plumbing, painting, building
> Towing of caravans
> Night walks and after-hours check-ins
> Identifying, reporting and rectifying WHS issues
> Banking reconciliation and reporting

Skills & Experience (One or both of those applying will need experience in the below)

> Experience working in or managing a holiday park will be highly regarded
> Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
> Proven outstanding customer service and communication skills
> Experience in handyman work, with a wide maintenance skill-set
> Ability to efficiently prioritise and manage projects and tasks
> People management and leadership skills
> Attention to detail, especially in the area of cleaning
> Experience in maintaining lawns and gardens as well as vehicle and machinery operation
> Proven ability to work in a team environment and/or autonomously
> High level of computer literacy, preferably with experience using a hotel reservation system (we use Newbook) as well as Microsoft Office 365.
> Knowledge of and experience with current WHS legislation
> Sales & Marketing experience not required but beneficial
> Financial Management including budget and stock control


Position #2 - Holiday Park Assistant Management Couple

This position is a full-time live-in role for 2 people. The salary is $49,755 per person for an average of 45 hours per week (includes weekends, public and school holidays). The successful applicants will be provided with on-site accommodation, located at the holiday park, for substantially subsidised rent

Responsibilities & Duties

> Day-to-day operations of holiday park
> Making reservations and communicating with guests
> Cleaning and maintenance of park buildings such as cabins and amenities
> Cleaning and maintenance of park equipment such as BBQs and playgrounds
> Landscaping duties, i.e. lawn mowing, weed-eating/spraying, and maintaining of gardens
> Management of waste and recycling
> General handyman work, incl. basic plumbing, painting
> Towing of caravans
> Night walks and after-hours check-ins
> Identifying, reporting and rectifying WHS issues
> Banking reconciliation and reporting

The successful applicants for both positions will need to take pride in their work and personal presentation, have a valid NZ manual drivers licence and current first-aid certificate. The park managers will need to be available for start no later than 16th April 2020. The assistant managers will be needed to start soon after this. On-site training will be provided.
